Welcome!Hello and welcome to The Oxford Observer! Here at TOO, we have two main beliefs:
1. That learning can be fun, interesting, and contagious 2. If you cannot explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough But what does this mean for you? Well if you’re a student watching this, it means that our pledge is to keep our videos short, sweet, and to the point, that we’ll highlight and explain any important vocabulary words, and that we’ll try to be entertaining (we’ll see how that goes). This is a channel for YOU, so not only are our videos kid-tested (each and every one), but we want you to give us some feedback by leaving a comment below or clicking the link to the right. If you’re a teacher, you should know that so are we! We create standard-based content you can use in any classroom as homework, a warm-up, or a summary. Our series start with general topics and become more in-depth as we go along, perfect for individualized learning, and all videos are packed with primary sources to help students learn to use evidence effectively. We also include debate-sparking discussion questions at the end of each video, vocabulary resources on Quizlet, and guided notes on Teachers Pay Teachers (you can find the link below). Make sure you subscribe to get videos every week. If you have a suggestion for a topic or you’d like us to create a video or series for you, please click the link in the description to the right. We always love hearing feedback from our viewers, so please send us a message and we’ll be sure to thank you in a video! |
