Shark Tank is a great show, there's no denying that. But we've decided to go a different direction. A better direction. Forget the products of the future... We want: the companies of the past.
Your task is to create a trading company or joint-stock company to either establish a trading network or a colonial empire. You need to create a presentation (PowerPoint, Google Slides, website, etc.) containing all elements on the "Requirements" page of this site. There are extra credit opportunities available on the "Extensions" page, and the criteria on which you will be graded are on the "Rubric" page. If you include all elements, your grade will be solely based on your final presentation. 10 points will be deducted from your overall grade for every element you do not include. - The Sharks |

Just like a menu, students pick one appetizer, one entree, one dessert, and a fourth project from any of the categories. Each group has a team leader and a project manager for each project, and each project is driven by an essential question chosen by the students.
Each project has its own directions, requirements, and how it will be graded. After each has been completed by my students, they will have a sample product as well. Students are encouraged to be creative and answer their questions thoroughly.
